Articles, videos and static pages
Within the Cortex platform, the Content section is used by content authors to create and deliver content for news articles, videos, and static pages. It is flexible enough that it can power other content types as well - for example it has been used for global components or configuration of redirects.
Each content item can either be an article or a page, with either video or image as the hero. Each item is then made up of blocks (which may be our default content blocks, or your content models using our custom content blocks feature), as well as page-level elements such as sponsorship, slug and taxonomies.
The APIs provide a wide range of options to support fan-facing front end requirements, including various query parameters, ElasticSearch, localisation, and a summary endpoint. Additionally, users of the Cortex platform can build and save their own custom feeds using the Feed Builder service.
